The Hollywood star took time out from the social network site after he was thrown off a flight for refusing to turn off his mobile phone.
At 6pm on Saturday, Baldwin's followers were greeted with the message: "Back on Twitter."
The 30 Rock star then tweeted "Happy New Year" and said he was on his last day of holiday with his yoga-instructor girlfriend, Hilaria Thomas.
Baldwin shut down his account in December after he was kicked off an American Airlines flight.
He used Twitter to take swipes at the flight attendant who told him to turn off his phone.
"Last flight w/American. Where retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950's find jobs as flight attendants," he tweeted after he was booked on another American flight."
He then shut down his Twitter account but wrote an apology to fellow passengers in the Huffington Post.
"I would like to apologise to the other passengers onboard the American Airlines flight that I was thrown off of yesterday.
"It was never my intention to inconvenience anyone with my "issue" with a certain flight attendant."
